Proprietors Reserve Merlot Cabernet
The grapes were harvested by hand and fermented in separate batches. The wines were macerated 1‐2 weeks post fermentation before pressing and malolactic fermentation. The batches were matured separately in 225 litre French oak barriques for 15 months before blending.
The 2013 vintage started with a cool, frosty spring but quickly progressed into a classic Hawke’s Bay summer. Hot and dry conditions from December through to end of harvest in April ensured ripe, flavoursome fruit in excellent condition. One of the best!
