June 2007 - Ngatarawa Charity Auction Lot gets highest wine price
The Midlands Hawke's Bay Winegrowers Charity Wine Auction was held at Queen's Birthday in the newly upgraded Hawke's Bay Opera House.
Ngatarawa again donated a 225 litre barrique - a 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon - totally unique and not released commercially.
With the exception of the auction painting, it raised the highest auction wine price - $9,000. A big thank you to Midlands, the principal sponsor, who were the successful bidder on the day.
Ngatarawa is a platinum donor and one of the foundation wineries for the Charity Wine Auction. We have now raised over $130,000 for Cranford Hospice.
