February 2005 - Alwyn Noble Harvest Riesling - One Fine Wine
Alwyn Corban is arguably the finest New Zealand producer of sweet wines.
The Ngatarawa (Alwyn) Noble Harvest Riesling and the Ngatarawa Glazebrook Noble Harvest Riesling are mouth-wateringly syrupy honey-sweet wines from Hawke's Bay, carefully crafted and nurtured. The Alwyn is made more special by its
maturation in seasoned French oak while the Glazebrook, without oak treatment, is immediately approachable and drinkable. They are both delicious, and when the decision was made not to make them in 2003 or 2004, the current but rare 2002 vintage became an even more valuable gift.
