Ngatarawa Wines was established by founding partners Alwyn Corban and Garry Glazebrook in 1981. Alwyn was from the famous Corban winemaking family while the Glazebrook’s had been pastoral farmers in Hawkes Bay for more than a century.
Ngatarawa’s brands were acquired by Mission Estate in 2017.
Hawkes Bay, New Zealand
Hawkes Bay means different things to different people – good food, great weather, long days, and land like no other. At Ngatarawa it means wine, not just the fashionable stuff, but the stuff that’s hard to graft, hard to grow, hard to make and hard to put down.
Welcome to the family
From its beginnings as the key pioneer of the Bridge Pa Triangle in Hawkes Bay, Ngatarawa has grown to become one of the region’s premiere wine producers with an enviable international reputation. Ngatarawa is widely acclaimed for its Bordeaux style red wines, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and dessert wine.
